LOOKING TO THE FUTURE AT THE DAAL
The Danish American Archive and Library is heading into the future with new energy and momentum since paying off our five-year mortgage in a little over two years. The final piece to the puzzle came through a $25,000 pledge that was made from the Gregerson Family Fund, a member of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington. The pledge was to be used as a matching grant for mortgage payoff. Alf and Lili Gregerson are Danish immigrants from Ridgefield, Washington, and are long-time supporters of the DAAL.
Freed from the lease or mortgage payments that have consumed roughly one-third of the annual budget for the past seven years, staff and volunteers at the DAAL can now turn their thoughts to ways of making the DAAL even stronger for years to come.
